It's been ages since the previous penguin game on the Weekly Penguin arena, so I thought it would be a good time to introduce James Pond 2: Codename: RoboCod (aka Robocod: James Pond II), the first penguin game I've ever owned. My original copy was for SNES, but these days I have only my PlayStation version. It was originally developed by Vectordean and published by Millennium Interactive in 1991 and it has been regularly ported on newer systems, the latest port being for PlayStation 2 in 2006.
In addition to the title so pun-tastic it would make even Daniel Kayser blush, the game is about super-agent-fish James Pond, who must retrieve the toys Dr. Maybe has stolen and save some penguins while he is at it. Pond is now decked out in Inspector Gadget-style stretch device, which he can use to view higher areas or claw onto ceilings so as to slide across them.
