Weekly Penguin

Weekly Penguin 226

A Fistful of Penguins is a family dice game from designer Jonathan Franklin and Wattsalpoag Games. The goal of the game is, simply enough, to gather animals to add to your zoo. The game lasts three rounds, after which the winner is the player with the most money generated by the animals on display.

The name of the game comes from the fact that while penguins themselves don't generate money, they get you penguin tokens. These tokens in turn can be used to re-roll as many dice as you wish or add another die to the group. Thus, like the box says: "Having a fistful of penguins can save the day".

Special thanks to Timo and Heini Liimatta for spotting this gem at Spiel 2011.
