Weekly Penguin

Weekly Penguin 297

Kinder chocolate is no stranger to penguins and it's no real surprise they finally invaded their chocolate Easter surprise eggs. This is part of series called Natoons, this year featuring Arctic and Antarctic animals, from seals and polar bears to, obviously, a penguin.

In case you aren't familiar with Kinder surprise eggs, the idea ois that inside the chocolate shell there is a small random item, usually a toy. And every year Kinder has a new toys within, multiple series of them, meaning most likely every egg you buy has something new inside.

I usually buy one or two of these every Easter, simply because the white-meets-milk-chocolate combo just tastes darn good, but this year the first one I bought had the polar bear from this series. And with the bear there was this list, showcasing all available toys in the series. And the moment I saw the penguin I went bought more. And when they didn't feature it, I bought more. And more. And about 20 euros later I gave up. Seriously, I didn't eat even half of them, I just cracked them open in hope of seeing the penguin.

And the irony of it? The first Kinder egg Petja bought had the penguin. Thanks to my now-past-illness and Petja's work hurries we haven't had the change have any TAGAP meets, meaning neither of us knew about our Kinder happenings. So huge thanks to Petja for both the penguin and the photography.
