Poor Pedro, what have you done now? Well, it's not our Pedro penguin, but the one from the brilliant Get Well Friends line of adorable plushies. Get Well Friends are the creation of award-winning British children's author Kes Gray and designed by the illustrator Mary McQuillan. The idea of these critters is that each of them had an unfortunate accident of some kind, resulting in them being hospitalized into the care of the mouse nurse Nibbles.
Each critter has their own story – and they come with their own prescriptions, with detailed information on how to nurse the poor things. So, how did Pedro end up in this state and how can he get better?
In case you are reading this on a screen too small to read the above;
Pedro the Penguin is Poorly. He forgot to break the ice before diving in!
The prescription from Nurse Nibbles is as follows:
Pedro will be feeling quite dizzy. Cradle him in your arms and rock him very gently. Pedro will feel much better if you whisper 'I love you' in his ear.
How could one refuse?
