Whoops, something cool that has slipped through the cracks; a penguin book I was supposed to feature ages ago! Let's fix that.

So, this is Up and Down, written and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. If it looks familiar, it should; Up and Down is the sequel to Lost and Found, the award-winning children's book that was adapted into an awesome animated short by Studio AKA.

Up and Down continues with the story of the boy and the penguin. Now the penguin starts to dream about flying. He becomes so obsessed about it that he runs away, trying to discover a way to get into the air. But which will win – the penguin's flight-obsession or his friendship with the boy?

The sequel is every bit as great as the original; a heart-warming story brought to life with those stylized and spot-on illustrations by Jeffers. If you liked Lost and Found – the film or the book – you'll like Up and Down as well.
