Final weekly penguin for 2019 is a surprise blast from the past! How far from the past? How about a decade before the first TAGAP?

Yes, this is an old photograph from 1997, featuring a collection of plush toys. There is mom's old raccoon... and there is our Funky Penguin! But look closely – this photograph is from the age before all the hugs and the multiple washes had completely whited out his eyes!

The eyes are already a little worn in the picture, but seeing my beloved friend and mascot in its more-or-less original form after all these years was a treat! Apart from the eyes, this guy has aged a lot better than me, I can tell you that!
