Speaking of kind of penguins we haven't featured in a while – penguin music! This time it is a penguin-themed artist GoGo Penguin – a Manchester-based band consisting of Chris Illingworth (piano), Nick Blacka (bass) and Rob Turner (drums).

GoGo Penguin's music is an interesting blend, combining break-beat electronica with super-smooth piano melodies and even modern semi-minimalistic stuff akin to the other famous penguin group we've featured before, Penguin Cafe. In other words, it's brilliant music to chill with, fitting for the penguin-moniker.

The first album to be featured is the self-titled 'GoGo Penguin' from 2020. It isn't their first album, but since it is the one that introduced me to the artist, I thought it would be fitting to start here. The album embodies the musical style of the group really well and I can recommend it as a jumping-on point to everyone interested.

This is where I would've showcased a great live performance from one of the album tracks, but YouTube won't let you embed music videos anymore – their idea of protecting artists, I guess. Oh well, look up 'GoGo Penguin', good stuff!
