I know I mentioned this week I'd be featuring something epic from Penned Guin... but I'll be saving that for next week instead. The reason for this is simple – it is way more timely then. You'll see what I mean when we get there and it'll be worth it!

In the meantime, time to re-visit a previous penguin themed Kickstarter. Remember the fearsome Jampire, Count Pengula by Feltmeupdesigns? Well, that campaign became such a success that the artist Melanie Ann Green added another fearsomely adorable penguin to the mix – zombie penguin!

Come on, green zombie penguins? I'm all in!

By the way, this photo isn't photoshopped much beyond cropping and minor contrast changes. The dramatic lighting is a result of a weird result of a lighting experiment; the LED pole light I use for lighting interfered with the digital camera on a specific shutter settings. This created a colour and contrast distortions, creating this borderline abstract motif. I think it fitted the zombie penguin pretty well.
