Surprise, more plushie penguin photoshops! The perk of being on a vacation in the middle of nowhere with my old-ass tertiary laptop is that it has a functioning old non-CC Photoshop, I guess. Let's start with my must fan mash-up of 2023.

This is the familiar pengucrafts crochet penguin from 2021 attaining the power of the Sixcalibur, turning into Pengu McSix, the Mascot of the Universe!

Okay, context. Recently one of my new all-time-fave albums was released, Angus McSix and the Sword of Power. There's a whole lot of so called 'inside baseball' on how the project came to be, but what matters the most is that it is a tongue-in-cheek narrative power-metal group. As in, the band members are all part of the story the songs tell – and the first album is a narrative concept album that tells the first chapter of the saga. It isn't your typical fantasy tale riffing on Lord of the Rings, but has more in common with Saturday morning cartoons, i.e. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

I fell in love with the concept from the very first single – aptly titled Master of the Universe – so I immediately pre-ordered the debut album in its Collector's Edition form. That one came with a pendant replica of the titular 'sword of power', the Sixcalibur. I just couldn't resist doing a penguin spoof photoshop job with it!
