Here's a rare occurrence – a penguin re-run. This was completely unintended, but during my recent lighting experimentation session I occasionally do, I ended up liking one of the photos so much that here we are. The penguin in question was originally featured in 2019.
In case you are wondering what is going on here, this photo was taken in a room darkened literary pitch black and the penguin is sitting on a flat bright-light lamp. For those not living in the deep North, bright-light lamps are super-intensive lamps imitating natural light to nullify the negative health effects of the super-short days during winter. This one is 10 000 lux at point blank range, so it really makes the penguin glow.
