One of the more interesting non-gaming-related Kickstarter projects this year has definitely been Antarctica: A Year on Ice, a documentary focusing on not the wild-life or the continent itself, but the fantastic folks who work and live there. The project is headed by Anthony Powell, satellite communications tech and photographer, whose work has been featured in, among other things, BBC's Frozen Planet. For some of his photos and the trailer for the film, visit www.antarcticimages.com – or track his blog at www.frozensouth.com.
Anyhow, the first related Backer-goodies just rolled in last week and they're pretty amazing. For example, as you can see, I now know what my main calendar for the next year will be. Thank you so much, Mr. Powell!
