Another one that could be labelled under 'things part of my daily life I take for granted and forgot to feature' – a brilliant penguin paper weight. This is a transparent container with coloured liquid – and two penguins floating in it, surfing on small 'ice blocks'.

If the penguin design and the concept looks familiar, this is seeming part of the same series as the ZSL London Zoo drinking glass I've featured before. Obviously with this paper weight, you can more easily see the penguin designs.

This one being all round clear plastic without any markings, I don't know the origins of it – who knows, perhaps it originates from the ZSL gift shop as well. I do know this one comes in very handy every summer. There is no air conditioning in my flat, so I'm relying on cooling fans to survive the heat waves. And without this penguin block, the stack of to-be-scanned TAGAP 4 doodles would be flying all over the room!
