Well, since I was getting some CDs from Japan, I decided to scratch another penguin album off the shopping list. So here is RE:cycle of the PENGUINDRUM (Theatrical Feature) Music Collection. I've been covering the music of the original series in the past and rather sadly, there never was a proper full album for the show.

Now, the movie Re:cycle of the PENGUINDRUM is basically an abridged version of the original TV show. I honestly don't really care for the movie, as the show's structure itself was brilliant. Being cut up to pieces like this takes away its biggest hook besides the adorable penguins. The show is brilliant, but I'd say skip the movie. I mean, it speaks volumes that I haven't bought the BluRay of the movie despite being, well, me.

However!

The bright spot is this album right here. Since the movie is just an edited down version of the show, its soundtrack album essentially is, finally, the soundtrack of the show. And the second disc of this double album is a Triple H feature. No, not that one – Triple H is an idol group from within the show. This new album features all the songs from the original release plus new catchy tracks.

TLDR; The TV show is utterly brilliant, watch it instead of the cut-down movie – and this album is great.
