Very super-special holiday gift to all you TAGAP fans, supporters and friends;
Also, this week's Weekly Penguin is our Holiday Seasons greeting eCard! If you haven't sent your eCards yet, feel free to use this one. Without further ado;
Our download servers are back up, so if you had trouble in downloading some of the files from our local servers in the past few weeks, they are now available. Sorry for the inconvenience.
This whole situation was due to the changes in the service provider's systems and had nothing to do with us. While I still wish we would've been informed about the service break, I really can't complain about the othwerwise excellent service they provide.
This is without doubt the most awesome thing I've seen in ages; Time magazine has listed their choices for Top 50 innovations of 2009 and ranked #26 is, for real, a robot penguin. Real, self-navigating robot penguin!
I am not kidding; Scientists of Festo's Bionic Learning Network have developed what they call an AquaPenguin, an Adelie-sized self-navigating robot that flies underwater just like the real penguins. According to the article, Festo are planning to adapt AquaPenguin for automated production systems.
Check the Time website for more information and photos of this Real Penguinator. Also be sure to check the entire Top 50 innovations list, which includes more interesting inventions, ranging from cyborg beetles to actual teleportation.

TAGAP website no longer has a forum – and events like this were a catalyst for that being the case. There is really no need for one as we can be easily contacted via social medias, like Twitter and Facebook
Why do people go out of their way to spam forums is beyond me, even more so the said forum is held together by team of freeware game developers sharing their products for no physical profit. Still, it seems TAGAP forum has been under a spam scheme of sorts, so I need to remind everyone that:
Private messages claiming to be official announcements are not that; All announcements will be posted as such in the forums and/or on TAGAP website front page.
We won't ask for any payment for TAGAP or anything even remotely related, so if someone claims to be PenguinDT and then asks for your credit card details, you'll know it's a scam.
I hope this clears things up a bit. I'm deeply sorry, for both you users and for ourselves, that this has happened on our forums.
Tweet, TAGAP and PenguinDT are now on Twitter!
Just head to Twitter.com and add PenguinDT to your list of followed tweets. We're planning to make Twitter our main home-away from home, as it effectively stuffs many of our most requested website features into one package – its RSS news feeds, newsletters and social networking updates all in one.

The YouTuber izraqthedark is no longer active and has removed their entire channel. Sad to see you go, friend. But thank you for the walkthrough and your voiceover work for TAGAP 2.
Finally featured here on the site is izraqthedark's comprehensive walkthrough, aptly titled "Let's Torture TAGAP". And if you were wondering why its called torture, its because izraqthedark dared to play it on (gulps) the Necrophilissimo! difficulty setting. Hilarity and pulled hair ensues.
Let's Torture TAGAP has been on YouTube for a while and it's implementation to the official website is long overdue. Big thanks to izraqthedark for creating and sharing this awesomeness!
Making of TAGAP 2 blog feature continues with the fourth entry, The Design. The first half of this two-part entry describes the principle guidelines behind all the designs and explains how the whole process has changed since the original TAGAP.
And since it is Tuesday again, we also have yet another Weekly Penguin for your viewing pleasure.
After spending all week working amidst TAGAP 2, I totally failed to report a major penguin-related event – one which I'm sure most of you already know. Still, even if we're a bit late to the party, we here at Penguin DT want to congratulate NHL team Pittsburgh Penguins for their Stanley Cup victory.
Awesome work, guys and good luck for 2010 cup!
Finally here, starting our long-delayed TAGAP website updates, is the latest installment to the Making of TAGAP 2 feature. This time we dissect the TAGAP 2 backstory; How it came to be, what you can expect and what are the driving forces of the story. Take note that you may find a few spoilers inside if you haven't completed the original TAGAP yet.
As for the future updates, the goodies are on the way. Having reached another milestone in TAGAP 2 development, I'm taking some time to tweak the site and to provide more frequent blog updates.
Its April Fool's Day again. I generally don't like April Fool's jokes, as no matter how you look at it, they just make generally reliable websites unreliable for a day. Still, there has been a handful of spoofs I really liked. Unlike your typical news-posts of misinformation, some serious effort was put into these gems resulting comedy that is funny all year round.
That being said, here is my all-time favorite April Fool's spoof, courtesy of BBC. Enjoy!

TAGAP website no longer has a forum. There is really no need for one as we can be easily contacted via social medias, like Twitter and Facebook
As I mentioned in the TAGAP blog, my laptop – which just happens to be my working platform – has been in HP's repair shop for the past two weeks and thus there have been no updates of any kind, not even Weekly Penguins. Well, fear not, here we are again with a brand new penguin to brighten your week!
Also, the Forums are now again accessible. I'll update our layout later this evening so that the Forum button works accordingly, but meanwhile use the aforementioned address. I'll let you know as soon as the layout is updated.

The server issue appeared to be a lot more complex than I thought. Without calling names I can say that in the aftermath of this mess the people who host our files were practically forced to switch servers. That means its server swap time again bringing forth some issues, including forums being offline.
I'll let you know when everything is running smooth again. Thank you for your patience.
As you probably noticed, TAGAP website went down yesterday. It was caused by a major server crash, but everything is back to normal again. Giving the circumstances, the Weekly Penguin is up now, a day late.
We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Sadly, Roxy is no longer with us. And neither really is MySpace.
Just in for this Valentine's day; Roxy the rockhopper penguin, resident of London Zoo, is feeling lonely and she is looking for a mate. On MySpace. Please do visit her MySpace page and join her friends.
She is looking for a male rockhopper with good feathers and who is into dating and serious relationships. I wonder if our very own Primo would meet her qualifications?
Here in Finland Valentine's Day isn't so much a day of lovers, but more like day of friendship – and in that light, we wish all you TAGAP fans happy Valentine's Day!
It's new year and new content starts to roll in, starting with the promised blog entry with full description of the screenshots released on Christmas eve. Look no further and find out what the screenshots were about.
More website additions are on the way, including but not limited to FAQ updates and more Making of TAGAP 2 blog entries. Stay tuned for the goodies!
And since it's Tuesday again, remember to check this year's first Weekly Penguin.
